Storyline

• A coming-of-age love story set in 1925, follows recently orphaned Lucy Gladwell, who is sent from England to live under the guardianship of her uncle George. Lucy defies George's plans to marry her off to a rich plantation owner for his financial gain, when she falls deeply in love with local labourer, Krishna.
