Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu(2026)

The legendary director has a voice cameo as Hugo, an Ardennian deep-fry cook with four arms. Jon Favreau, who worked with Scorsese on The Wolf of Wall Street, said the animation team was so inspired by his performance that they refined the character design around it.

After meeting the puppet on set, Weaver was so charmed that she told Favreau, "I want to work with this guy." Favreau created additional moments between her character, Colonel Ward, and Grogu specifically because of her off-camera affection for the character.

Pedro Pascal does the voice and much of the physical performance himself — Favreau leaned into his swimming background and Gladiator II combat training for the film. When the suit is worn by others, Brendan Wayne handles classic Western gunslinger choreography, while capoeira martial artist Lateef Crowder performs the explosive hand-to-hand fight sequences.
