Storyline

• At the height of the Cold War, a Soviet spacecraft crash lands after a mission gone awry, leaving the commander as its only survivor. After a renowned Russian psychologist is brought in to evaluate the commander's mental state, it becomes clear that something dangerous may have come back to Earth with him. 1983. Two Soviet cosmonauts return to Earth after a mission in space. On re-entry one dies and the other is found to be inhabited by a parasitic alien being. The Soviet authorities call in a fearless, innovative doctor to try to decouple the parasite from the host. However, even she is not prepared for what awaits her. — grantss
