Plot Summary

• Mission Santa: Yoyo to the Rescue is a 2025 animated holiday adventure directed by Ricard Cussó and Damjan Mitrevski, with a screenplay by Jamie Nash. The feature blends family-friendly comedy, heart, and seasonal wonder as it reimagines Christmas through the eyes of an underdog elf thrust into a high-stakes quest.  Set in a modernised North Pole where tradition has been replaced by automation, the story follows Yoyo, a well-meaning but inexperienced elf whose first day on the job at Santa’s workshop turns into a race against time when a resentful hacker disrupts operations and endangers Christmas. With Santa missing and the holiday’s future at risk, Yoyo teams up with his grandfather, the cynical HR elf Coco, his loyal reindeer pup Biscuit, and a misfit packaging drone named Snowflake to track down Saint Nick and restore festive magic.  Produced as a holiday theatrical release by Falling Forward Films and several international studios, the film runs approximately 1 hour and 31 minutes and mixes spirited animation with themes of friendship, courage, and the true meaning of Christmas. It opened in select territories in late 2025, becoming part of the year’s seasonal animation slate.
