Plot Summary

• After defeating Owen Shaw and his crew and securing amnesty for their past crimes, Dominic "Dom" Toretto (Vin Diesel), Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker), and the rest of their team have returned to the United States to live normal lives again. Brian begins to accustom himself to life as a father, while Dom tries to help Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez) regain her memories.Meanwhile, Owen's older brother, Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), breaks into the secure hospital the comatose Owen is being held in and swears vengeance against Dom. As Deckard leaves the hospital, it is shown to be absolutely destroyed, indicating Deckard was responsible for the mayhem and the extremes he would pursue, to avenge his brother. Deckard breaks into Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson)' DSS office to extract profiles of Dom's crew. After revealing his identity, Shaw engages Hobbs in a fight, and escapes when he detonates a bomb that severely injures Hobbs, as he tries to save Elena (Elsa Pataky) from being hit by the blast.Dom later learns from his sister Mia (Jordana Brewster) that she is pregnant again and convinces her to tell Brian. However, a bomb, disguised in a package sent from Tokyo, explodes and destroys the Toretto house just seconds after Han (Sung Kang), a member of their team, is killed by Shaw in Tokyo. Shaw calls Dom from Han's mobile (giving Dom the indication that Han is dead), and the package from Tokyo is not from Han and is from an enemy. Dom manages to save Mia, as Brian saves his son Jack. The bomb is powerful enough that it shreds Mia's house.Dom later visits Hobbs in a hospital (Hobbs had shattered his collarbone and fractured his leg in 2 places), where he learns that Shaw is a rogue special forces assassin seeking to avenge his brother. Shaw used to run covert operations for governments, who felt that Shaw knew too much. They sent in 20 agents to retire him, but they were killed by Shaw instead. Dom also learns that Hobbs has a daughter named Samantha (Eden Estrella).Dom then travels to Tokyo to claim Han's body, where he meets and races Sean Boswell (Lucas Black), a friend of Han's, who gives him personal items found at Han's crash site.Back at Han's funeral in Los Angeles, Dom notices a car observing and chases after the vehicle, driven by Shaw. Shaw confronts Dom in a tunnel and they both go head-to-head against each other in their cars. Shaw's car had a reinforced front end and caused considerable damage to Dom.Both prepare to fight, but Shaw slips away when a covert ops team arrives, led by a guy who calls himself Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell). He says that he will assist Dom in stopping Shaw if he helps him obtain the God's Eye, a computer program that uses digital devices to track down a person, and save its creator, a hacker named Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel), from a mercenary named Mose Jakande (Djimon Hounsou). The deal is that Dom will help recover the God's eye for Mr Nobody and Mr Nobody will help Dom use it to track & kill Shaw.Dom, Brian, Letty, Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson), and Tej Parker (Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges) then airdrop their cars over the Caucasus Mountains in Azerbaijan (guided by GPS parachutes), ambush Jakande's convoy, and rescue Ramsey. The team successfully intercepts the convoy and extracts Ramsey but are ambushed by Shaw. Dom takes Ramsey in his car but is cornered by Jakande's men and has Shaw's sniper rifle aimed at him. Dom escapes by rolling his car down a steep hill. Ramsey's bus rolls over a cliff with Brian inside it and Letty swings her car really close to the cliff to allow Brian to jump and grab a hold of her car's rear wing.The team then heads to Abu Dhabi, where a billionaire has acquired the flash drive containing the God's Eye and installed it in his super-car. The team manages to steal the drive from the owner's Lykan HyperSport. The owner is a Jordanian Prince, who kept the car in his penthouse. Dom and his team infiltrate the Prince's party and try to steal the drive but are caught. Dom has no choice but to drive the HyperSport across 2 buildings (jumping from one to the next to the next) to get away with the drive.With the God's Eye near Telecommunications repeaters, the team manages to track down Shaw, who is waiting at a remote factory. Dom, Brian, Mr. Nobody and his team attempt to capture Shaw, but are ambushed by Jakande and his militants, and they are forced to flee while Jakande obtains the God's Eye. At his own request, Mr. Nobody is then left to be evacuated by helicopter.Left with no other choice, the team decides to return to Los Angeles to fight Shaw, Jakande and his men on their home turf. Meanwhile, Brian promises Mia that once they deal with Shaw, he'll dedicate himself to their family full-time.While Jakande pursues Brian and the rest of the team with a stealth helicopter and a drone, Ramsey attempts to hack into the God's Eye while sharing her mobile between their vehicles. Hobbs, seeing the team in trouble, breaks out of hospital and destroys the drone. After battling and killing Jakande's henchman Kiet, Brian hijacks a signal repeater tower that allows Ramsey to control God's Eye and shut it down.As the military closes into the city, Jakande attempts to flee and spots Dom and Deckard engaging in a brawl atop a public parking garage. Jakande intervenes and attacks them both, and Shaw is defeated when part of the parking garage collapses beneath him. Dom uses the distraction to defeat Deckard by causing part of the parking garage to collapse beneath him. Dom attempts to crash his Dodge Charger onto Jakande's helicopter, where he leaves a bag of grenades on the helicopter and crashes on the rubble of the garage. Hobbs shoots the grenades, destroying the helicopter and killing Jakande.When Dom remains unconscious, the team fears that he is dead. As Letty cradles Dom's body in her arms, she reveals that she has regained her memories, and that she remembers their wedding. Dom regains consciousness soon after, remarking, "It's about time".Later, Shaw is taken into custody by Hobbs and locked away in a secret, high-security prison. Meanwhile, at a beach, Brian and Mia play with their son while Dom, Letty, Roman, Tej and Ramsey observe, acknowledging that Brian is better off retired with his family. Dom silently leaves, but Brian catches up with him at a crossroad. As Dom remembers the times that he had with Brian, they bid each other farewell and drive off in separate directions.

Storyline

• Dominic and his crew thought they'd left the criminal mercenary life behind. They'd defeated international terrorist Owen Shaw and went their separate ways. But now, Shaw's brother, Deckard Shaw, is out killing the crew one by one for revenge. Worse, a Somalian terrorist called Jakarde and a shady government official called "Mr. Nobody" are both competing to steal a computer terrorism program called "God's Eye," that can turn any technological device into a weapon. Torretto must reconvene with his team to stop Shaw and retrieve the God's Eye program while caught in a power struggle between the terrorist and the United States government. — ahmetkozan The sins of the past seem to be catching up with Dominic Toretto, Brian O'Conner and his crew, when Deckard Shaw shows up to seek revenge for the travails of his younger brother.
