Isabella “Machine” Summers wrote the fairy-tale/techno hybrid soundtrack, marking her first full feature score since Little Birds (2021). She sampled children’s music-boxes, then ran them through distortion pedals to keep the creep factor.

Sophie Sloan (Aurora) is Glasgow-born. To land the part she worked with a dialect coach daily and arrived on set already speaking in an American 8-year-old voice so authentic that crew members assumed she was a local hire.

Production designer Jeremy Reed constructed the entire hallway & two-story unit on a Budapest sound-stage with removable walls so the camera could doll straight up through the floorboards—mimicking a child’s toy cut-away view.

Fuller’s first assembly cut ran 118 min. He trimmed one minute for every year that passed since he wrote the original script (2013 → 2024), landing on 106 as “a symbolic grown-up version of the 8-year-old story”.
