Premier Theatres is a theatre chain that operates six drive-in theatres across Ontario. The theatres are owned by the Allen family, who founded the original Premier Theatre in 1920. The first national theatre chain, they added drive-in theatres to their chain in 1960, beginning with The 5 Drive-in in Oakville, Ontario. Currently the company owns and manages theatres in Oakville, London, Hamilton, Barrie, Newmarket and Fonthill.
As the standard of drive-in movie theatres, Premier offers attractions to their outdoor audiences, with playgrounds in front of the movie screen, dog-friendly movie viewing, and a large concession stand.
