Yoshi Katô was born on 12 January 1913 in Tokyo, Japan. He was an actor, known for Furusato (1983), The Fall of Ako Castle (1978) and Tampopo (1985). He was married to Isuzu Yamada. He died on 1 March 1988.
In the 17th century, two Portuguese Jesuit priests travel to Japan in an attempt to locate their mentor, who is rumored to have committed apostasy, and to propagate Catholicism.
