Yaz is a first generation Afro-Colombian-American, raised in Miami FL, and has been based in Brooklyn NY for the last decade. She just wrapped production on the feature film Bunny, and short film Hackerz.

Yaz played Erica, a lead part in the 2022 feature Adventures In Success that was distributed by Utopia. The film was an official selection at the Austin Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, Vail Film Festival, Cinequest Film Festival, and Tallgrass Film Festival.
