Sunny S. Walia is an Indian Australian actor who has worked in film, television and theatre. He plays Sub Inspector Chavan Sharma in the Apple TV series, Shantaram, based on the best selling novel by the same name. Recently he toured the U.K with award winning Belvoir Theatre play, Counting & Cracking, written by S. Shakthidharan and directed by Eamon Flack.
In 2020, Sunny won the prestigious AACTA Pitch competition for his 'original and truthful performance' out of 466 submissions Australia wide. He is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi as well as weapons and stage combat trained.
He is represented by Artist Management Australia.
