Silvia Badescu

    Silvia Badescu was born in 1946 in Bucharest, Romania. She started to study Acting at the Theatre and Movie Institute "I.L. Caragiale" in Bucharest, but also filming with director Savel Stiopul, in the movie "The Last Day of Childhood", in 1966, after which she defected the country settling in Paris. In France she adapted her name to the French language, changing its end to Badesco. She also managed to make some movies, first with Eric Rohmer in "Chloe in the Afternoon" aka "love in the Afternoon" ("L'Amour l'apres-midi"), in 1972, then next to Jean-Paul Belmondo in "Stavisky" directed by Alain Resnais, in 1974, and finally in "L'Affiche rouge" where she played Dolores Bancic (Olga Bancic), with Frank Cassenti in 1976. After filming for a TV serial, her career faded away, ain 1980...
