Richard Lane Jr. was born and raised in South Boston, Massachusetts. A United States Army Veteran, he ran the 2015 and 2016 Boston Marathons for the Martin Richard Foundation. He earned a supporting role in the film, Stronger, with Jake Gyllenhaal, and directed by David Gordon Green. In his first film, What Doesn't Kill You, directed by Brian Goodman, he shared a scene with Mark Ruffalo and Ethan Hawke.
