Reinout Scholten van Aschat

Reinout gained widespread recognition with his role in the film DE HEINEKEN ONTVOERING, for which he won a Golden Calf for Best Actor. Reinout appeared in the One Night Stand BOWY IS BINNEN and portrayed Johan Cruijff in the TV series JOHAN, LOGISCH IS ANDERS.

In the theater, Reinout performed in the production of GIJSBRECHT VAN AMSTEL and participated in (IN) KOUD WATER by Oostpool. He was a member of the core ensemble of the National Theatre for several years, featuring in productions such as DE STORM, AS YOU LIKE IT, and GENESIS. Reinout is part of the music theater collective Lars Doberman, known for their successful show DE FAMILIE MANSON.

Reinout took on the lead role in the film BEYOND SLEEP, based on the novel Nooit meer slapen by Willem Frederik Hermans. BEYOND SLEEP served as the opening film at the International Film Festival Rotterdam.

In the same year, Reinout was selected for the prestigious European Shooting Stars event organized by European Film Promotion (EFP) during the Berlin International Film Festival. Achieving more international success, Reinout starred in the film CAPRI-REVOLUTION, directed by Mario Martone, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival. He later appeared in NOCTURNE, earning nominations for two Golden Calves.

Reinout won the Best Supporting Actor award at the Milan Film Festival for his role in ZEE VAN TIJD, which also opened the Dutch Film Festival in 2022.

In the past year, Reinout featured in the series OXEN, set for international release, and starred in the film BIJT directed by Guido Coppis. In the upcoming year, he will once again take on a lead role in the film ALPHA directed by Jan-Willem van Ewijk.
