Patrick Sabongui

Patrick Sabongui was born in Montreal to Egyptian immigrants; a psychologist and a French teacher/librarian. He has three older brothers and a younger sister and was raised in a trilingual household, speaking French, English and Arabic. He grew up a competitive athlete, martial-artist, and mountaineer.

He started his artistic journey when he fell in love with Shakespeare in a lit class... so he founded a theatre club, produced, co-directed and played Hamlet (to surprising critical acclaim) in the college's first theatrical production of a classical play. He went on to earn a collegiate degree in Communications: Drama from Vanier College; a BFA in Drama for Human Development from Concordia University in Montreal; a Certificate from the National Theatre Conservatory in Colorado; and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from the University of California.

Aside from acting and directing, Sabongui is also a Professor of Theater in Brooklyn, NY and continues to develop new works as a film and theatre artist.
