Oscar Millar

Oscar Millar is an Australian actor known for his performances in Apples Never Fall and Lies Within Us. Growing up between the quaint country town of York and the vibrant Fremantle, Oscar's path to acting was unconventional, with his mother as an English teacher and his father as a farmer. However, his enduring love for storytelling and fascination with psychology inspired him to pursue a Bachelor of Performing Arts at the Western Academy of Performing Arts (Waapa), from which he graduated in 2019.

Upon graduating, Oscar faced the challenges of the pandemic head-on. Rather than waiting for roles to come, he co-founded Lazy Films, a production company dedicated to crafting original and thought-provoking narratives. Over the next four years, he co-created five short films and a feature film, exploring a range of characters within compelling, psychologically rich stories.

In 2024, Oscar made his silver screen debut alongside renowned actors Sam Neill and Annette Bening in Apples Never Fall. With a blend of Malaysian and Australian ancestry, Oscar's diverse background and filmmaking experience inform his approach to acting, helping him bring depth and authenticity to the characters he portrays.
