Nick Morris is a screenwriter living in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. His very first screenplay was a finalist at the renowned LA horror film fest, "ShriekFest".
In 2017, Nick sold his second script (originally titled THERE WAS A LITTLE GIRL) to Boulderlight Pictures in Los Angeles. Under the new title of BECKY, principal photography began in 2019 with Lulu Wilson (The Haunting of Hill House), Kevin James (The King of Queens) and Joel McHale (Community) in the lead roles and Jon Millott and Cary Murnion (Bushwick, Cooties) directing.
Less than a year later, BECKY was released digitally on all major platforms and also enjoyed a successful run at drive-in theaters across North America during the onset of the pandemic. The film even held the #1 spot at the US domestic box office for two weekends in June of 2020.
The Globe and Mail described BECKY as "a tremendous piece of cinematic viciousness" while Chicago Sun Times' Richard Roeper called BECKY "a gory, blood-spattered, fever-dream take on Home Alone".
Nick has several new projects in development and is serving as executive producer on a sequel to BECKY.
