Mavie Hörbiger

Mavie Hörbiger was born in Munich as the daughter of a night club owner and a model. She is one of the youngest members of one of the greatest acting families in the world. Her grandfather Paul Hörbiger played a key role in Orson Welles' "The Third Man". Mavie began her acting career at age sixteen. In 2000 she played her first lead in Detlev Buck's "LiebesLuder". DOP Slawomir Idziak dedicated a special camera filter to her which was later also used on Meg Ryan. Since then, she has starred in award-winning films and television productions, while pursuing a very successful theatre career and - like many of her ancestors - has been a permanent member of the ensemble of the Viennese Burgtheater since 2009.
