Magnus was born and raised in Ojai, California. He studied at SUNY Purchase in New York where he graduated with a BFA in filmmaking. It was only after acting in his colleagues' projects that his love for acting really flourished. He went on to study at the William Esper Studio. After school, Magnus signed with manager JoAn Kincaid. He's been in several TV shows and films and was cast in Blumhouse Universal's Freaky opposite Kathryn Newton and Vince Vaughn in 2019.
