Laila Lockhart Kraner is best known as Gabby in the long-running kids’ series on Netflix and produced by DreamWorks Animation, Gabby’s Playhouse (2021-2025), and earlier had been cast in recurring roles in 20th Century Fox/Imagine Television’s crime series, Shots Fired (2017), and in ABC’s Black-ish (2016-2018). Kraner made her feature acting debut re-creating her starring role as Gabby in director/co-writer Ryan Crego’s Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie (2025), co-starring Thomas Lennon, Jason Mantzoukas, Ego Nwodin, Kyle Mooney, Melissa Villasenor, Fortune Feimster, Gloria Estefan, and Kristen Wiig, produced by DreamWorks Animation and released wide by Universal Pictures.
Laila Lockhart Kraner was born and raised in Boca Raton by her parents, who later moved to Los Angeles to support Kraner’s child acting career. Kraner is an honor roll student at her school, where she competes on the track and field team.
