Kristoffer Polaha (birthname: Kristoffer Jon Polaha) is a busy television actor who has also appeared in a range of features from blockbusters to Christian-based movies. Polaha’s feature debut was in a supporting role in Billy: The Early Years (2008), a biopic on evangelist Billy Graham directed by Robby Benson.

Polaha was then cast by director Atom Egoyan in a supporting role in his West Memphis Three drama, Devil’s Knot (2013), starring Colin Firth, Reese Witherspoon, Amy Ryan, Mireille Enos, Bruce Greenwood, Elias Koteas, and Alessandro Nivola. Kristoffer Polaha played the title role in the third installment of the film series, Atlas Shrugged: Who Is John Galt? (2014), with Laura Regan, Greg Germann, Joaquim de Almeida, Eric Allan Kramer, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rob Morrow, but failing with critics and at the box office with less than $1 million earnings on a $5 million budget.

Polaha joined the cast of writer-director Michael Rosenbaum’s widely-panned comedy, Back in the Day (2014), with Morena Baccarin, Harland Williams, and Isaiah Mustafa, released by Screen Media Films. More successful was Polaha’s next movie, Where Hope Grows (2014), in which he joined the cast of David DeSanctis, Danica McKellar, and Kerr Smith, under the helming of writer-director Chris Dowling, and grossing $1.2 million for distributor Roadside Attractions.

Polaha co-starred with Mira Sorvino, Doug Jones, and Paul Sorvino in the kidnapping thriller, Beneath the Leaves (2019), co-written and directed by Adam Marino, followed by Polaha co-starring in co-writer and director Chris Dowling’s Run the Race (2019), with Mario Van Peebles, Mykelti Williamson, and Frances Fisher, and grossing a solid $6.4 million for distributor Roadside Attractions. Kristoffer Polaha was cast in blockbusters, starting with a small role in director/writer/producer Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), with Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright, and Connie Nielsen, and a $170 million global gross.

Polaha again was cast in a small role in co-writer/director Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World Dominion (2022), co-starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, Mamoudou Athie, BD Wong, and Omar Sy, and amassing a $1 billion box-office take four times costs ($265 million) for Universal Pictures. Kristoffer Polaha followed these by starring in the supernatural drama, The Shift (2023), written and directed by Brock Heasley, and co-starring Neal McDonough, Elizabeth Tabish, and Sean Astin, and budgeted at $6.4 million.

Personal life

Kristoffer Polaha was born in Reno, Nevada, and was raised by parents Esther and Jerome Polaha (Washoe District Court Judge), with three older brothers. Polaha studied at the Robert Louis Stevenson Boarding School in Pebble Beach, California. Polaha studied at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999. Polaha moved to Los Angeles in 2001 in order to pursue a career in the film and TV industry. Polaha has been married to Julianne Morris since 2003; the couple has three sons, Caleb, Jude, and Micah. Polaha’s height is 6’ 3”.
