Karissa Strain

Karissa Strain is a Canadian actress who commonly works alongside her twin sister, Katie Strain. They have most notably made appearances in the genre of horror, sci-fi and dark comedy in projects such as Space Channels "Todd and The Book of Pure Evil", the Syfy show "Wynonna Earp" and MGM's adaptation of "Carrie". It wasn't long before they took their love of the film World from being on screen to off. The sisters also love comedy, being big fans of Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, they have always fancied themselves the "female versions" and have created/performed a variety of sketch characters mixed with burlesque in live shows around Toronto and LA in the classic SNL styling. Kat & Karissa joined together to form "KarKat Productions" in order to bring their passion for storytelling to life as film makers with various web content on their Youtube channel "KarKat TV", their Instagram page (newly changed to) "@sistersstrain" as well as short films that have been accepted to and won awards at film festivals all over the World. Although it was enough to whet their appetite for the World of film, it was only the beginning of their film making journey. Their hunger to be at the heart of the stories they help tell has recently launched them into new goals of switching their intentions from acting in other people's projects to bringing to life works of their own. "The Sisters Strain" have switched their gears to writing/directing though a line up of projects they are hoping to produce in the coming years with a team as passionate as they are!
