Josef Kubota Wladyka

Josef Kubota Wladyka is a film and television director based in New York City. His feature films, Catch The Fair One (2021) and Manos Sucias (2014) were nominated for multiple Independent Spirit Awards and both critically acclaimed. He has directed several episodes of television series such as Narcos, The Terror, and Tokyo Vice. He was born to a Japanese mother and Polish father and grew up in Northern Virginia near Washington, DC. He is the youngest of three brothers and was raised by his single mother who loved cinema and ballroom dancing. Josef holds an MFA in film from New York University.
