Ismael Kanater

Ismael Kanater was born in Casablanca, Morocco. A Drama graduate from the Casablanca Conservatory of Drama and dance and a Film-Making graduate from Rhode Island School of Design. Mr. Kanater is also a stage writer/director notably at the prestigious Off Broadway theater La Mama E.T.C and most recently at the Washington Shakespeare Theatre Company the creation with the ensemble and the South African writer/director Yael Farber a new take on Salome . Now he is stepping into writing for film. He has just finished a screen play " Cowboy" about a fifteen year old Moroccan boy nicknamed Cowboy for his love of Westerns and his Life journey from the Atlas Mountains to El Paso TX (c)
