Jackie Chan, playing a version of himself, travels to visit his old friend Hu Hu, the giant panda who was returned to the jungle after the events of the first film. When the two stumble upon a hidden primitive tribe, Hu Hu is hailed as a divine beast prophesied to save the tribe from an incoming disaster.
