Carmen Santos

Carmen Santos, (Lisbon, March 12, 1946) is a successful Portuguese actress. She started to be an actress with the university theatre, in the 60s. In 1975 she became a professional actress. She integrated the Company "Os Bonecreiros". She worked in several projects with director Manoel de Oliveira, including "Amor de Perdição" (1978), "Le Soulier de Satin" (1985), "Princípio da Incerteza" (2002), and "O estranho caso de Angélica" (2010). She was part of the cast in films by Olivier Langlois, José de Sá Caetano, Jorge Queiroga, Vicente Alves do Ó, Frank Cimière, João Botelho, amongst others. In 2012, she played the role of "Raquel" in the film "Quinze Pontos na Alma", by Vicente Alves do Ó, and received an Award for Supporting Actress. She works for Television and Theatre as well. An actress who is well known in the Artistic Universe.
