    Aaron Horvath (birthname: Aaron James Horvath) is a director-writer-producer of animated features, debuting with Teen Titans GO! To the Movies (2018), which he co-directed with Peter Rida Michail, and was a feature spinoff of the long-running animated TV series that he developed and created with Michael Jelenic, Teen Titans Go! (2013-present). Horvath’s first feature movie assignment was as a lead storyboard artist for The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie! (2010), the adult animated comedy based on Dave Jeser’s and Matt Silverstein’s original show for Comedy Central.

    Horvath’s second feature as director was Universal Pictures’ animated The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023), starring the voices of Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, and Fred Armisen. Horvath is a co-screenwriter (credited with Erich Hoeber and Jon Hoeber) of the fantasy-adventure movie, Naruto (date to be announced).

    Horvath shared co-director credit with Michael Jelenic with the sequel, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (2026), with the new voice cast members Benny Safdie, Brie Larson, Donald Glover, Luis Guzman, and Issa Rae joining the 2023 movie’s cast leads, produced by Illumination producer Chris Meledandri and Nintendo producer Shigeru Miyamoto, and released wide by Universal Pictures.
